PNR Status Check

Enter your 10-digit PNR number to check current booking status

Your PNR is printed on your ticket or in your IRCTC booking confirmation SMS.

What is a PNR Number?

PNR stands for Passenger Name Record. It is a unique 10-digit number assigned by Indian Railways to every train ticket booking. The PNR contains all details of your journey including passenger information, train details, coach and seat allocation, and your current reservation status.

When you book a ticket on IRCTC, a PNR is automatically generated and shared with you via SMS and email. Every ticket has its own PNR, even if multiple passengers are travelling together on the same booking.

  • Never share your PNR with strangers or on social media. It contains your personal travel details.
  • Beware of fake IRCTC websites. Always book tickets only on irctc.co.in or the official IRCTC Rail Connect app.
  • IRCTC never asks for OTP over phone calls. If someone asks for your OTP claiming to be IRCTC, it is a fraud.
  • Report fraud to Indian Railways helpline 139 or email care@irctc.co.in
